Another day, another iPad 3 rumor. As rumors have started to heat up around Apple’s next tablet, Taiwanese news site DigiTimes has consistently argued that Apple would be releasing not one, but two iPads in 2012. Today they are offering release dates for these alleged devices, apparently dubbed the iPad 3 and the iPad 4.

According to the rumor, the iPad 3 will be released in March with an improved display and a better battery, though otherwise the iPad 3 will be rather less miraculous than most Apple fans are anticipating. Even so, Apple will use the release of this interim iPad 3 as an opportunity to drop the price of the iPad 2 to $399, a change that will position the iPad 2 at the upper end of the price range currently occupied by the iPad’s Android-based [...]

The last iPad 3 component to be leaked was the ‘Home’ button that we have been using with all the iPad’s so far. Recently, a new leak of pictures possibly reveal the new iPad 3 screen display. Although the iPad 3 screen was turned off, it was nevertheless worth a look. The pictures were posted on a Korean technology forum in a discussion. The authenticity of the photographs cannot be determined as of now. But the pictures hint that the form factor of the iPad 3 will be similar to the iPad 2.

Google is rumored to have its Nexus Tablet device prepared in time to go head-to-head with Apple’s iPad 3 when it is released sometime this year. Long little more than a rumor, the existence of the Nexus Tablet was recently confirmed by Google CEO Eric Schmidt. The iPad 3 release date has yet to be confirmed by Apple or any other sources.

In a recent interview, Schmidt proclaimed the new tablet as the “cream of the crop” in the tablet world. Describing Apple’s former leader as a friend, Schmidt suggests the gloves are coming off as the mobile phone giant tests its merit against the current top leader in the business. Apple’s newly anticipated tablet, the iPad 3, will not be released in January 2012 as has been widely rumored in the technology world. Digitimes was one of the first to suggest that the iPad 3 would be released in January. As it has been the case with many of the iPad 3 rumors coming out from Digitimes, iPad 3 releasing in Jan 2012 isn’t looking promising. Apple insiders and some big time analyst’s of reputed companies are fully denying this rumor and continue to hint towards a February – March release instead.
